Merry Christmas from our family to yours

Even lawn geese celebrate the birth of our Savior. May you be blessed this Christmas.

All this rain puts me in a bad mood.

I suppose you have heard about the rain and flooding in our "Region". Many people had all their stuff ruined. And many lawn geese had all their costumes get all wet and icky. This puts me in a bad mood.

Silly Goose Defined

When I am happy the whole world smiles. But I feel goofy in this outfit.

I want YOU!

My grandmother used to call it "Decoration Day". Nowadays we call it "Memorial Day".

But the idea is the same. People die! Some of them in the service of thier country, some from bad people doing bad things to them, some from their own stupidity, some from disease, and some because their parts wear out. But we need to spend a few minutes thinking about them and putting a flower on their grave. Go decorate a grave.

And if that grave is the one of a person who died defending us all; a solider, a sailor, a marine, a flyboy, a nurse, a missionary, a fireman, a policeman, a neighbor who died saving an old person who could not get out of a burning building, a passer-by who stopped to help a kid stuck in a wind damaged house, or even a person who tried to pull someone out of a car caught in a storm sewer; shed a tear, thank God for that person, and hope you can be as brave and do the same yourself. And spend a moment at that grave, thank God for them and be glad they did such a brave act.

And in a couple of weeks we will have a holiday that we call "The Fourth of July" but my Grandmother called "Independance Day" and thank the members of the Armed Forces, the thinkers who defined the Constitution and the people on the street that will not let the politicians take our freedoms away. Send George Bush a letter telling him that you are proud of your Independance and you will not let him send your sons off to die to insure that he is not made to look like the fool he is.

Fall Colors

Well, it's that time of year again. The pumpkins are turning a nice shade of orange, we get a little afternoon rain followed by bright sun, and I get out my fall outfit. Don't I brighten up a fall day? Posted by Picasa

Me and my walker

If you think it is not easy being green; try being green and crippled. I hurt my left leaping leg so I cannot hop and I cannot swim in the pond. But I can still catch a bug with my sticky tounge...Mmmmm, fresh fly.

I hope to be back on my feet soon, or at least in a new costume soon. Posted by Picasa

Les Football -- Les Bleus

After 116 games playing for Les Bleus and winning the World Cup in 1998 I have retired from Fédération Française de Football.

There were some fantastic moments, some wonderful memories and some incredible emotions.

Then the matches, the sound of the crowd; all these factors made wearing the blue shirt an unforgettable experience.

So I have come home here to be with my fans here in America. My sister, Marlana, brought me this jersey and my main fan, Jeremy (pronounced je re mi') sometimes wears it. Posted by Picasa

Royal Fashion Goose

The Royal Goose
I wore this outfit all last fall. Of course the White Sox won the World Series, indeed the entire post season in royal fashion. I put this fashion on Wednesday morning. The Sox beat the Royals to take sole position of first place in the AL Central for the first time this season. Coincidence? I think not!

You don't think this outfit makes my stomach look fat, do you? I thought not!

Even Valerie understood the importance of making offerings of flowers to the goose-god. She will be rewarded. Posted by Picasa

Have a White Easter

I tried on my new Easter outfit a few weeks ago. Then it snowed. It complemented my outfit but it was not seasonal. Oh well, it is 70 today, Easter, and I look so RIGHT!. Posted by Picasa

Ride!

I am a goose, not a horse. But then I have been a turkey, a frog, a flamingo, Elvis, Santa's helper, and so many more things, I guess I could be a horse. This cute little boy climbed up on me and said "Ride!!" We did have fun, though I feel I should have at least a saddle on. Posted by Picasa

Geese Angels

Two houses south of where I live is another lawn goose. Angel spends a lot of time wearing the same outfit. How utterly boring. But, if you are an angel, I guess there is only one thing you can wear. The wind around here has blown off her halo, or maybe...well, I don't want to think about it. But it may expalin where the two little cherub geese to her right came from. Or it might be the result of the little devil hiding behind her. Posted by Picasa

Thnak God for little boys. They do appreciate how handsome I looked at Thanksgiving in my Turkey-Pilgram outfit. I am so glad that I did not end up on the platter that day, but concrete is not very good to eat. Posted by Picasa

Everyone told me I looked wonderful

Posted by Picasa
Here I am all decked out for my wedding. It was a lovely affair. All the important people came. The ceremony was so sweet, there was not a dry eye in the place. The goose-pastor said such encouraging words that I had a big tear running down my beak. Afterward at the reception we all had a great time dancing and eating. I danced till I could not waddle. A few of my friends had a bit too much to drink, though, and Martha went off with that awful Phabian and came back with her dress all akimbo.
We left afterwards and flew south for a wonderful honeymoon were we met the most fantastic birds, and we... well, I am too young a bride to tell all...

Moi in the buff as a youngster

Do you know how your father took those pictures of you frolicing on the lawn or under a blanket while you were small and naked? Well that happened to me to. It is embarassing and all but my father insists I post it here. Posted by Picasa

Santa's Helper Goose

My wintertime garb
My sisters, Marlana & Amanda, gave me a new outfit for Christmas of '03. I had been directing things for the toy factory at the North Pole. Setting up lists, making toys, directing elves, checking things twice and keeping the jolly fat man from drinking too much (the sot). I had worn my old clothes to a tatter so I really appreciate the new duds. I make them look great, don't I.

I will wear them each year till Santa pukes all over them (he eats too many cookies). Posted by Picasa

Summa Cum Laude

After two years of study for Bill and, well, much less time for me, we each got to graduate with a Master's Degree. Bill graduated from St. Xavier University in Chicago just a couple of days before I came to live with him, so I was named Xavier.  Posted by Picasa
He did okay in his schooling, graduating with a 3.8, not bad but compared compared to my Summa Cum Laude well; he isn't goose poop on the grass by the pond.

Welcome world!

Here is a picture of me when I first came to live will Bill. Bill was about to graduate from grad school with his Masters of Science in Computer Science - Internet Information Systems. His mother and his future wife went out and found me, brought me home to the beach and dressed me. Boy I hate appearing in public naked.

Anyway, you have to love my White Sox outfit and my braids. I look wonderful, don't I?
